If you love LEGO and animals, the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 range has some seriously fun builds to discover. I've picked five animal sets that caught my eye, and I love how different they are. We've got cute pets, wild animals and animal families, plus a really good range of prices.

The cheapest option on our list is just £8.99, while the biggest set comes in at £59.99, so whether you're looking for a little creative treat or a bigger building project, there's something here to consider.

And, of course, they're all LEGO Creator 3-in-1 sets, meaning the fun doesn't necessarily stop once you've finished the first build. Each set can be rebuilt into different animal models using the same bricks.

Prices mentioned in this post were checked on 31 August 2026 and may change.

🐹 1. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Cute Hamster with a Flower

Set 31376 • 7+ • 166 pieces • £8.99

If you're looking for a small LEGO animal set without a big price tag, this adorable hamster is the perfect place to start. The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Cute Hamster with a Flower is currently £8.99 and contains 166 pieces. LEGO recommends it for builders aged 7 and over. And the best bit? You don't have to stick with the hamster.

The same bricks can be rebuilt into:

🐹 A cute hamster with a flower

πŸ¦” A hedgehog with a flower

πŸ¦… An eagle with an egg and nest

The hamster, hedgehog and eagle all have movable features, making this more than something to build and leave on a shelf. LEGO also describes the finished models as suitable for display as room dΓ©cor.

Why I like it

At £8.99, this is a lovely option if you're looking for a little birthday treat, stocking filler or simply something creative to do without spending a lot. It's also a great way to try out the Creator 3-in-1 concept before moving on to one of the larger sets.

🐱 2. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Playful Cat

Set 31163 • 8+ • 407 pieces • £19.99

For the pet lovers, this one immediately caught my attention. The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Playful Cat contains 407 pieces and is currently £19.99, with LEGO recommending it for ages 8 and over.

You can build:

🐱 A playful cat

🐢 A cheerful dog

🐦 A pigeon

The cat comes with little accessories including a food bowl, mouse and ball of yarn, while the dog has a bone and the pigeon has breadcrumbs. The different models also have movable features, so there's plenty of scope for imaginative play once the building is finished.

Why I like it

I think this is a really good middle-ground set. It's still affordable enough for a smaller gift, but with 407 pieces there's more of a building project involved than with the hamster. And if you start with the cat but decide you'd rather have a dog on display, you can simply rebuild it.

🐼 3. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Wild Animals: Panda Family

Set 31165 • 8+ • 626 pieces • £34.99

Moving into the larger sets, we have the LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Wild Animals: Panda Family. With 626 pieces and a current price of £34.99, this is a much bigger building project than our first two choices. It's recommended for ages 8+. And once again, there are three ways to build it.

You can create:

🐼 A panda family

πŸ‹ An orca family

🐧 A penguin family

The panda build features an adult panda and baby panda with bamboo, while the orca and penguin versions create their own little animal family scenes.

Why I like it

This is probably the set I'd choose for someone who wants more of a building project. I also really like the family theme. Rather than simply getting three versions of one animal, you can completely change the setting by rebuilding the same bricks into pandas, orcas or penguins. It's a lovely mix of building, imagination and animal discovery.

🦊 4. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Cute Animals: Red Panda

Set 31394 • 8+ • 297 pieces • £24.99

If cute animals are your thing, this red panda is hard to resist. The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Cute Animals: Red Panda has 297 pieces and is currently listed at £24.99. LEGO recommends it for ages 8 and over.

You can build:

🦊 A red panda with a butterfly and flowers

πŸ¦‰ An owl with a snail and flowers

🐠 A clownfish with an underwater scene

I particularly like the fact that these are three completely different environments. You can go from a woodland-style red panda to an owl or an underwater clownfish without needing a new set. LEGO also describes the finished models as suitable for display on a shelf, desk or bedside table.

Why I like it

At £24.99, this sits nicely between the cat and panda family in our list.

It's also a good option if you're looking for something that's both fun to build and cute enough to display afterwards.

🦁 5. LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Wild Animals: Majestic Lion

Set 31386 • 9+ • 839 pieces • £59.99

And finally, we've reached the big build. The LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Wild Animals: Majestic Lion is the most expensive set in our selection at £59.99, but it's also the largest, with 839 pieces. LEGO recommends it for ages 9 and over.

You can rebuild the bricks into:

🦁 A majestic lion

🦁 A lioness

🦁 Two playful lion cubs

The lion and lioness have movable heads, mouths and legs, while the cubs have a range of movable features too. The finished builds can also be displayed with small savanna-themed habitat pieces.

Why I like it

If the hamster is the little treat, this is definitely the main event. With 839 pieces, this is the set I'd pick for someone who really enjoys sitting down with a big LEGO project and taking their time.

🌟 Why LEGO Creator 3-in-1 animal sets are worth a look

For me, the biggest appeal is the 3-in-1 concept. You're not limited to building one model and putting the box away. Each of these sets gives you three different building options from the same bricks. The models can't be built simultaneously, but you can rebuild them whenever you fancy a change.

That makes them particularly appealing if you enjoy building, rebuilding and trying something different. They're also nice for people who want something creative to do away from a screen, whether that's a child looking for a new project, a family building together or an adult LEGO fan who simply loves animals. And when you've finished building, several of these models are designed with display in mind too, so your finished animal doesn't necessarily have to disappear back into the LEGO box.

🌼 Chlo & Co's pick

  • For a little treat: 🐹 Cute Hamster
  • For pet lovers: 🐱 Playful Cat
  • For a bigger creative project: 🐼 Panda Family
  • For cute display potential: 🦊 Red Panda
  • For the ultimate animal build: 🦁 Majestic Lion

There really is something lovely about being able to turn a pile of bricks into an animal you can actually build, play with, rebuild and display. And that's exactly the sort of little creative moment we love at Chlo & Co.
